The Square.

When you arrive in London for the first time, either if it is cause you are going to start a new life here or if you just having a weekend in the paradise of shopping and pubs, you will go to Picadilly circus.
Everyone wants to see the opening scene of Sherlock and the place where Harry, Ron and Hermione ends up in the last film, if not only for taking a picture at the big screens that shows different kinds of commercials.
Anyway, after you've seen this beautiful place, cause to be fair Picadilly circus and Big ben are the two places that makes you realize you are really in London, you will end up walking with all the tourists and you have probably looked at the map and seen that the walk from Picadilly to big ben is very short. So why not do the tourist things in one go?
You walk with all the other people and see both Lester square.. leister..e le... Leicester square yes, the place with the weirdest spelling, considering it's pronunciation, and pubs and shopping.. yes you'll see it all. And from no where the buildings opens up like the curtains at a theatre and there out of nowhere is the big square. The square. With people everywhere, the fountains that gives the place a feeling of nature and the mesmerizing old building which serves as a gallery.  You have gotten to the place which is on no tube map, Trafalgar square.
There is always something happening, street artists, protests and even live music. The place screams of everything that is good in this world, the people.
And if you're not already in love with this place, just walk to the middle of the balcony just outside the National gallery and you will see London. Right ahead of you, peaking between the buildings, you will see Big ben and Westminster Abby.

But it does not end there, if you go back to Trafalgar square when the sun have set and the world around you is filled with the sound of music from the pubs and talk of the drunk people. This place is an oasis. It's only you, and Big ben which has been lightened for you entertainment. If you are lucky some street artist playing guitar will give you the soundtrack of this moment.

I fell in love with this place, the first time I stumbled upon it.
Me and my best London friend David had been drinking the whole night, feeling pretty dizzy and drunk we searching for the bus that would take us home to Holloway road. And there it was the big statue and the sound of the fountains. We stayed for a short moment before our bus arrived, but I was in love.
After that I've been dragging everyone that is spending time with me in London to this place. Trying to make them understand the feeling I have when I so much as think about Trafalgar Square.
I don't think anyone will completely understand, maybe you will?
