About me

My name is Johanna.
I moved from Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, in February 2014 and gave up everything I've ever known for London.
At the moment I'm working as a receptionist at a hotel and I have my own little room in Maida Vale. On my free time I try to experience London as much as I can. I also read an endless amount of books, spend time with my friends, go to the gym to release stress or go to my favourite place in London, the arms of my beautiful boyfriend.
But my dream is to start study here in London.
That was the real purpose for me to leave Stockholm behind, to follow my dreams.
This blog is manly my way of keep writing even though London is a stressful environment for a dreamer, this way I can keep writing everywhere and any time I like.
Also someone has to give you the truth behind this beautiful old city.
When you read my texts, remember two things;
Firstly, I am definitely not bitter. I love this city more than any place I've visited, with it's overcrowded street, it's polluted air and the lovely strange people. And how can I ever have a bitter thought about the place where I finally found love? Where I spent hours with the most interesting and mesmerising person I've ever met? No, I am not bitter and I would not trade this life for anything.
Secondly, always remember that I can never understand what it is like to leave your home because the economy crashed and there is no more jobs. Sweden survived pretty good during the economy crash and I left my home to follow my dream and seek inspiration. I am therefore, to be fair, very spoiled.
